CONWAY, SC– As part of Tanger Outlet Center’s national PinkStyle Campaign, Tanger Outlet Centers Myrtle Beach recently donated $26,760 to Conway Medical Center Foundation’s Mammography Initiative.
CMC Foundation’s Mammography Initiative was developed in 2005 to assist disadvantaged women in the Conway Medical Center service area who cannot financially obtain necessary health screenings such as mammograms and other clinical breast examinations.
CMC Foundation was chosen as one of the recipients to receive proceeds from the sale of coupons during Tanger’s 20th Annual Pink STYLE campaign, which took place this past September and October. For every $5 donation, Tanger customers received a 25% bonus savings TangerStyle Pink Card. “The CMC Mammography Initiative exists because of businesses in the community like Tanger. Their continued support has enabled us to provide assistance to hundreds of women each year,” states executive director for CMC Foundation, Berns Massey.
With the donation from Tanger Outlet Centers CMC Foundation’s Mammography Initiative, along with discounts provided by the hospital and radiologists, over 350 women in Horry County received 752 mammography related services in 2013.
