Childbirth Class- January 24, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Conway Medical Center holds childbirth classes every month on specific Saturdays. You should begin your childbirth classes during your 7th or 8th month of pregnancy. Class content will include anatomy/physiology, stages of labor, pain management, breathing/relaxation techniques, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn topics.  Contact Number- 843-347-8108

Breastfeeding ClassJanuary 6, 7-9 p.m. All classes are held monthly in Private Dining Room #2 located in the hospital and are free of charge. Taught by a registered nurse who is also a Lactation Consultant, classes are open to those expecting as well as those who have already delivered their baby.      Heartsaver® CPR AED January 29 5, 12-2:30 p.m. This class is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.     Chair Yoga- January 6-29, Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8-8:45 a.m.  This yoga class will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses.  Chair support is offered to safely perform postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.  Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.       Wakeup Call with Calvin- January 5-28, Mondays & Wednesdays at 5:15-6 a.m. This early morning workout designed for the early riser to boost metabolism with TRX, body weight, dumbbell, and medicine ball exercises.  Sprints will be added to keep the heart rate up to burn max calories.  Cost- Members- $80 & Community- $120.      Ladies Night Out “Women & Weights: Lose the Fear to Lose Fat”- January 20-February 12, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:45-7:45 p.m. Class is specifically designed for women to encourage mental and physical growth through education and motivation.  This class will provide women with the skills needed to successfully lift weights in the weight room feeling confident and accomplished.  The proper techniques for basic lifts will be taught, along with learning which muscle groups to train and when to train them.  You will take away knowledge about muscle and skeletal physiology, as well as basic nutritional tips to maximize results of training.       Cross Training for Runners- January 6-30 Tuesdays & Fridays, 5-5:45 p.m. Why cross-train?  This class will supplement and reinforce your running program and contribute to better overall fitness and reduce the risk of impact injuries.  Program is best for beginner to intermediate runners.  Cost-$80 for members & Community- $120. Tadpoles- Parent/Infant (6-36 months) This class is designed to prepare infants and young children to become comfortable in the water so they can become ready to learn how to swim! Parents will learn fun and safe ways to introduce their child to the water! Angelfish (3 & 4 years) This class is designed to help children explore the water by learning how to float and submerge head by developing confidence in the water. Barracudas (4 & 5 years) This class builds upon the skills learned in the previous angelfish class by learning how to add arm and leg action in your stroke.

Minnows (6 years & up) This class helps students experience independence in developing their skills. Adults (15 years & up) This class is for any level to either improve strokes or learn basic swimming skills.
