CONWAY, SC–Conway Medical Center (CMC) is pleased to announce Nicole Mulder, RN, CBN as the new Bariatric Coordinator at CMC’s Weight Loss Surgery Program, Coastal Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery.
In this role Mulder will provide education, counseling and case management to bariatric patients. She will serve as the primary clinical liaison among physicians and in and out patient hospital staff as well as the primary contact for all bariatric patients.
Mulder is a registered nurse and has an associate’s degree in health science-nursing. She is also a Certified Bariatric Nurse by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and has worked with bariatric patients for four years.. She worked as a registered nurse from 2006-2011 at South Carolina Sports Medicine and Orthopedics and then at Summerville Medical Center. Mulder began working with bariatric patients as a bariatric coordinator in 2011 at Coastal Carolina Bariatric Center at Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, SC. Mulder is a member of the National Association of Bariatric Nurses, Obesity Action Coalition and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
“My goal is to make sure each patient receives the best possible care throughout their weight loss journey. I want all my patients to have every chance to succeed and help them in achieving long-term, life changing weight loss” states Mulder.
