Shani Moore, BSN, RN, CDE has successfully completed the Certification Examination for Diabetes Eductors (CDE).  This credenial is administered by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators.

 

In order to sit for the exam Moore had to meet eligibility requirements of minimum professional practice and education hours and meet the discipline license requirement. Achieving this certification status demonstrates to people with diabetes and employers that the health care professional possesses distinct and specialized knowledge, thereby promoting quality of care for people with diabetes. 

 

Moore has been employed at Conway Medical Center for 18 years. She has spent the last two and a half years working in the Clinical Education Department as a Diabetic Patient Educator. She accepts referrals to consult on inpatients and outpatients, individual or group sessions. She also facilitates a monthly Diabetes Support Group.
