Conway Medical Center, to include the Wellness & Fitness Center, Rivertown Family Medicine, Aynor Family Practice and Occupational Medical Services, has achieved accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as a result of its demonstrated compliance with the Joint Commission’s nationally recognized health care standards. Formed in 1951, the Joint Commission is dedicated to improving the quality of the nation’s health care through voluntary accreditation. The Joint Commission’s on-site survey of Conway Medical Center occurred in December, 2002.
Phil Clayton, CEO of Conway Medical Center, spoke of his pride in the Center’s staff whose members work diligently each day in order to achieve the highest score possible from the Joint Commission. “In addition, they appreciate the educational aspect of the survey and the opportunity to interact with the team of surveyors.” Clayton called the accreditation, “demonstration of our organization’s commitment to achieving high quality and safe care for the patients, resident, or individuals it serves.”
