Dr. Ghiasi earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from California State University, Sacramento and his Doctor of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.

He grew up in Afghanistan before his family migrated to the United States when he was a teenager as refugees from the war. They first lived in Boise, Idaho before moving to California. While living in a refugee camp in Pakistan, he saw medical personnel serving others while working in harsh conditions and that inspired him to become a doctor. He is married with four children and enjoys spending time with his family.
