You Rock Award for Patient Accounting/Collections

On February 1, 2024, the winner of the CMC Patient Accounting/Collections Department’s first quarterly, You Rock Award was revealed for October-December 2023.  All deserving nominees for department employee of the quarter come only from team members as does the crowning of their winner.  Leaders only monitor the process and provide the tokens of the department’s appreciation.  

Each peer nomination comes with a narrative that must include which of our four pillars their nominee represented during the quarter:  financial sustainability, patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and quality.  Our winning nominee was felt to represent all four. 

And the winner is…. Christina Esposito, Medicare Patient Account Representative.  

Paraphrasing her nomination:  “Despite some personal issues, Christina has managed to maintain a positive workflow in addition to her positive attitude.  She contributes abundantly to the financial success of CMC by producing flawless Medicare claims.  Never a sour note from Christina, she is always ready to help her coworkers with a smile.  She’s happy to answer any questions within her realm of knowledge and does not hesitate to help when another Medicare PAR is unavailable.  Any shared encounters I’ve had with Christina and patients have shown her to be equally friendly, respectful, and responsive to any patient’s dilemma.  If unable to resolve an issue on her own, she enlists the assistance of her coworkers and follows up as needed.  When asked to do something, she will thoroughly investigate each aspect/possible issue and confirm with the requestor before proceeding towards the quality outcome expected from a seasoned employee such as herself.  Christina’s work ethics apply to all four pillars.  Oh, and if you feed her M&M’s Christina will become even happier – if that’s possible!”

Christina joined the team and CMC in May 2022 bringing us 24 years of healthcare experience.  She was relocated from Connecticut and has other family here.  She lives in Conway with her husband, and their dog, and 2 cats.  Her supervisor, Michele Corrado, and Director, Don Hale, could not agree more with the team members’ words of praise and decision.  Christina was given flowers, a crown, a personal framed certificate, and a tote with various gifts including an M&M dispenser!  And for the next quarter, she will proudly display the department’s “You Rock” trophy at her desk until it passes the next quarter to a new recipient.
