Nursing Internship Academy

The first steps in your new career

In today’s fast paced Nursing Education environment, the transition from newly licensed to the first independent nursing assignment can be stressful.

CMC has created and refined a comprehensive full time, fully paid, and benefit eligible 12-week RN academy program that mixes classroom instruction with CMC RN preceptor on-the-job training. The goal is to support new RN graduates with a soft transition to refine nursing skills and learn new competencies needed to help provide a successful transitional pathway to your nursing career.

Our experienced RN instructors and preceptors volunteer for this program and teaching is in their hearts.  They never forget what is was like to be a new RN grad and they will compassionately work with you to navigate the bridge from graduation/licensure to the patient care environment.

Nursing Internship Academy

Did you know that RN academy nurses are ten times more likely to find their first RN job more enjoyable than those who don’t go through the academy?  This is true. The academy is structured to provide you with real-world/real-time experience before you fly independently.

CMC hosts several RN academy sessions per year, typically aligning with licensure pass for Spring, Summer, and Winter RN graduates.   These slots are posted year-round for nurses, and placement is competitive.  Contact us to express your interest or ask a question.
