Hyun Joon Bang, DO

Hyun Joon Bang, DO,

Primary Care

Dr. Bang was born in South Korea and spent much of his childhood in the Netherlands. He graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where he majored in psychology with a concentration in cognitive science. He went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Throughout his college and medical school years, Dr. Bang worked as a Level 1 Medical Aid at Chariton Valley Association, providing both medical and home-based care for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.

In his free time, Dr. Bang enjoys playing music — particularly guitar and singing — and uses these talents to lead worship at his local church. His other hobbies include photography, painting, and outdoor activities such as hiking, running, and picnicking. Dr. Bang has conducted undergraduate research on advancements in diagnosing Alzheimer's disease, as well as the efficacy of ketamine as an antidepressant in mouse models. His professional interests include research, emergency medicine, health literacy, public health, and women's health.

Dr. Bang is honored to join Conway Medical Center as a resident physician and looks forward to serving the community while partnering with patients in their care.
