Dr. Yang received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-professional Biology from William Penn University, located in Oskaloosa, Iowa. While pursuing her degree, she was also a part of the women's golf team, which was very involved in the community. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Medicine degree, as well as her Master's in Public Health degree with a focus on Preventative Medicine, from St. George’s University in Grenada.

She grew up in Southern California and enjoys traveling, trying different types of foods, and spending time with family, including her 2 spoiled puppies. She also likes to watch movies, binge shows, play golf and tennis, and experiment with cooking and baking.
