Mattie Fuerst, DNP, FNP ,
Primary Care
Mattie Fuerst is a Family Nurse Practitioner and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and her Bachelor's in Nursing from the same institution. Her clinical background is unique – she spent years as a registered nurse in neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, caring for some of the most vulnerable patients imaginable. That experience taught her what it means to provide compassionate, evidence-based care under pressure.
Having transitioned to primary care, Mattie brings that same level of clinical skill and genuine care to patients of all ages. Her critical care background means she's excellent at recognizing when something isn't quite right and thinking through complex medical situations. But what really sets her apart is her commitment to patient and family education – she truly believes that when patients understand what's happening with their health, they make better decisions and get better outcomes.
Mattie is passionate about preventive care and whole-person wellness. Outside the clinic, she practices pilates and meditation, loves hiking and reading, and enjoys traveling when she can. These interests aren't just hobbies – they reflect her philosophy that good health is about taking care of yourself physically and mentally. Whether you're managing a chronic condition, need preventive care, or have questions about staying healthy, Mattie brings both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to your visit.
