Rebecca Eglen, MD, FAAP

Pediatrics

Board Certified in Pediatrics

Dr. Eglen is a board certified pediatrician with 20+ years of experience. Her office is located at the beautiful new CMC Health Plaza South in Myrtle Beach.  Dr. Eglen attended both the College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina for her undergraduate studies. At the College of Charleston, she  played on the College of Charleston Volleyball team that made it to the NAIA nationals. She completed her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy at the Medical University of South Carolina.

After college, Dr. Eglen married a Hoosier and attended the Indiana University School of Medicine. She received her pediatric training at Methodist Hospital of Indiana, where she was a member of the Pediatric Medical Education Committee. She also served as a clinical instructor to family practice and general interns at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. Eglen has done mission work with the Carolina Honduras Foundation in Limon, Honduras and is slowly but surely learning Spanish. Her entire career has been devoted to providing the highest quality of care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

In her leisure time, Dr.Eglen enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff and her two children, Amanda and John Jeffrey. She loves traveling and spending time outdoors and has recently become a big fan of kayaking and hiking. She is also an avid and fiercely competitive tennis player with two state  finalist  titles and one  team state championship.

Favorite ice cream flavor:  Strawberry - the taste of summer.
Favorite animal:  My dachshund, Moby
