“This June I will be going for two weeks to a part of rural Honduras that I’ve visited six times in the last 11 years. Over the years we have done so many things from working at the local rural hospital to building a church to putting in water purification systems. Each trip we try to go where the need is greatest and do what we can. If you’ve never tried it, I encourage you to do so.” – Wendy Donellan

CMC “repurposes” old sheets, towels, baby blankets, blankets and gives them to organizations that can put them to good use. Carol Wallauer coordinated with CMC’s Kim Litton to pick up a load of very used linens for abandoned/rescued puppies, individuals in Central American (pillow case dresses, baby blankets for birthing kits), and the homeless.

Paul McDonnell, along with many other dedicated volunteers, spends three days a week (sometimes more) at Conway Medical Center. Paul recently clocked nearly four miles in a four hour shift escorting patients.

When Wendy Donellan isn’t away on mission trips, she volunteers for the Healthreach program. She loves to give back to her community because the benefits and joys of stewardship are found here at home too.
