Transitional Year Curriculum

The Conway Medical Center Transitional Year Residency offers a robust curriculum.  Designed by an experienced team of providers, you’ll receive a vast wealth of experience and gain knowledge which will lead to a rewarding and fulfilling life as a physician.

The schedule is dived into four-week blocks.  You receive 20 days of paid time off with only one week of PTO per allowed rotation block.

Advanced Placement Requirements

Anesthesiology – 1 month of CCU but no more than 2 & 1 month of Emergency Medicine but no more than

Dermatology – Basic TY year – Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics Outpatient

Diagnostic Radiology – Basic TY Year – Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, OB/GYN, Pediatrics Outpatient

Nuclear Medicine – 9 month direct patient care

Ophthalmology – Basic TY year – Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, OB/GYN, Pediatrics Outpatient

PM&R – 6 month max Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics Outpatient; only 2 months indirect patient care Pathology, Radiology, Research, only 1 month PM&R

Preventive Medicine – 10 months direct patient care both inpatient & outpatient

Radiation Oncology – Basic TY Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics Outpatient; 9 months direct patient care other than radiation oncology

The Conway Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program is sponsored by Campbell University and is accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education.
