The Conway Medical Center Transitional Year Residency Program is sponsored by Campbell University and is accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for 12 approved positions. The TY program has extraordinary support from the entire CMC Healthcare organization, teaching faculty and sponsoring institution Campbell University.
The Conway Medical Center Transitional Year Residency Program is sponsored by Campbell University and is accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for 12 approved positions. The TY program has extraordinary support from the entire CMC Healthcare organization, teaching faculty and sponsoring institution Campbell University.
The clinical experience includes all the core outpatient and inpatient rotations, and all the subspecialty rotations required by ACGME.
The didactics schedule is one half-day per week (5 hours) of protected time and includes attending lectures, case presentations, book club/journal club, and board review. In addition, residents will attend monthly morbidity and mortality conference along with tumor board. Residents will also participate in morning report and daily patient rounds with their attending physician when on the inpatient medicine service.
