Dr. Snigdha Sharma is a board-certified pulmonologist at Conway Medical Center's Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine department. She completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at Detroit Medical Center, followed by advanced fellowship training in pulmonology and critical care. She earned her medical degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College and brings both clinical expertise and a genuine commitment to patient care.

Dr. Sharma's path to medicine was unconventional – she started law school before realizing her true calling was in healthcare. Following her mother's example, she made the leap to medical school, driven by a belief that medicine is a moral calling where you help others in whatever capacity you can. "At the end of the day, you are doing right by your patients. That is probably the most rewarding part of medicine," she reflects. That philosophy guides her practice today.

What sets Dr. Sharma apart is her comprehensive approach to pulmonary health. She performs a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), CT-guided biopsy, and transthoracic needle aspiration – giving her the ability to diagnose and manage complex lung conditions, including suspected lung cancer. She also manages chronic conditions like asthma and COPD, sleep disorders, and critical care pulmonary issues. Her patients appreciate her clear communication and her genuine concern for their wellbeing.

Dr. Sharma specifically chose to build her career at Conway Medical Center because of the system's deep community roots and vision for growth. She values being part of a healthcare system that is truly invested in the community it serves. When not at the hospital, she and her husband (cardiologist Dr. Aditya Sood, also at CMC) enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling.
