Heart Center

Heart Center

The CMC Heart Center offers a wide variety of services to improve your health. Our fellowship-trained providers work together to give you compassionate cardiac care you can trust.

Our center also offers the Philips Medical Systems Brilliance 64-slice CT Scanner. In just five heartbeats, our physicians discover profound information about a patient’s heart health, helping them to discover heart disease and its warning signs much earlier than ever before.  For patients with a family history of cardiovascular disease, the new CT scanner can help determine whether or not a person has certain congenital defects, vessel concerns such as plaque buildup or valve problems. This may allow us to treat the patient at a very early stage with lifestyle modification and medication, rather than invasive surgery.

Services at CMC Heart Center

  • Echocardiography: CMC is the only facility in the tri-county area performing 3D transesophageal echocardiography to see the heart like never before.
  • Electrophysiology: a field of cardiac medicine that includes pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators and biventricular pacemaker implants.
  • Cardiac Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA): is able to look at heart vessels to determine any irregularities such as blockages or valve problems.
  • Cardiac Catheterization: CMC offers cardiac catheterization including the less invasive type of radial catheterization. Cardiac catheterization is done to get more information about the heart of blood vessels.

For those who need cardiac rehabilitation, we offer a special program just for heart patients at our Wellness & Fitness Center, which follows guidelines set forth by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
