Sioned Kirkpatrick, DO
Dr. Kirkpatrick completed her undergraduate education at Texas Lutheran University, where she simultaneously earned two bachelor’s degrees in Molecular Biology and Chemistry and was a four-year starter on the women’s soccer team. She earned a master’s in Medical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and her medical degree at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. During her medical education, she served as her class president, led nationwide mental health and wellness initiatives, and was selected as her school’s Student Doctor of the Year.
Dr. Kirkpatrick was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, IA before moving to San Antonio, TX. In her free time, she loves to play soccer, garden, travel, try new foods, and help out with her partner, Edward’s, film and photography business.
Travis Lay, DO
Dr. Travis Lay completed his undergraduate education at the University of New Mexico where he received a bachelor’s degree in EMS, and ran during his freshman year for the UNM track team. He earned his medical degree from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He also worked as a paramedic in his hometown of Albuquerque for nearly a decade before completing medical school.
In his time away from work, Dr. Lay and his fiancé, Jamie, enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping while spending time with their Labrador retriever, Beaker.
Yair Lopez-Torres, MD
Dr. Yair López Torres was born and raised on the island of Puerto Rico. After finishing high school, he moved to New Jersey and attended Kean University to pursue his two passions: medicine and baseball. After completing his undergraduate degree in Biology, he decided to go back to the Caribbean and attend the American University of Antigua School of Medicine. Once he finished his clinical rotations in Miami and New York, he made the decision to continue his studies in the field of Anesthesia with his sight set on becoming a Pain Management physician.
In his free time, he enjoys watching and/or playing any kind of sport. One of his favorite activities is going to the beach. As a Caribbean native, he looks forward to enjoying what our coastal area has to offer.
Shyamal Patel, MD
Dr. Patel received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ and worked in finance thereafter. He obtained post-baccalaureate education in Biology at New Jersey Institute of Technology and earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine.
He grew up in New Jersey and loves playing recreational sports particularly basketball and tennis. He supports the Yankees, Jets and Knicks. He also enjoys hiking, camping and mountain biking.
