Tooba Anum, MD
Associate Chief Resident 2021-2022
Dr. Anum was born and raised in Pakistan. Her interest towards medicine was sparked while growing up in a medically underserved community. She pursued medicine from Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan and graduated with honors. During her medical education, she led health camps in underprivileged areas and participated as a volunteer physician in WHO’s anti-polio drive.
After relocating to the United States, she served as a student volunteer and worked as a Doctor’s assistant for several medical facilities in Savannah, GA. She believes in holistic approach, empathetic and compassionate care. Giving back to the community is what brings her joy. She loves to travel and spend time with her husband and daughter. She enjoys shopping and one of her passions is design. She designs leather handbags and belts, as well as the space in her home using plants as a source of tranquility. She is elated to be part of Conway Medical Center.
Radhica Agarwal, MD
Dr. Agarwal received her Bachelors in Arts in American Studies from Penn State University and subsequently completed her Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University. She further pursued a Masters in Public Health at St. George’s University with a focus on Preventative Medicine.
Dr. Agarwal is originally from central Pennsylvania and enjoys travelling, cooking, basketball, and spending time with family. Prior to moving to the Myrtle Beach area, she lived in Columbus, OH while her husband completed Retina fellowship. She is interested in public health, geriatrics, and nephrology. Dr. Agarwal is excited to join Conway Medical Center and serve her community as a resident physician.
Eric Choi, MD
Dr. Choi received his Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the university of California, Los Angeles and graduated with his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. During his time at St. George’s University, he also pursued a Master in Public Health with a focus on Preventive Medicine.
Originally from Southern California, he loves visiting the beach, and staying active. Dr. Choi enjoys medical research, infectious disease and has a special interest in promoting wellness.
Justin Crosby, DO
Prior to medical school Dr. Crosby worked as a paramedic while completing his Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services from Creighton University. He went on to work in pediatric critical care transport until deciding to pursue medicine. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. His time as a paramedic has nurtured a special interest in preventive medicine.
Dr. Crosby is from Savannah, Georgia. His favorite place to be is on the water with his wife and four children.
Noman Ghiasi, MD
Dr. Ghiasi earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from California State University, Sacramento and his Doctor of Medicine from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.
He grew up in Afghanistan before his family migrated to the United States when he was a teenager as refugees from the war. They first lived in Boise, Idaho before moving to California. While living in a refugee camp in Pakistan, he saw medical personnel serving others while working in harsh conditions and that inspired him to become a doctor. He is married with four children and enjoys spending time with his family.
Bennett Haskin Teal, MD
Chief Resident 2021-2022
Dr. Teal graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina.
She was born and raised here in Conway and is very familiar with CMC. Her parents are both retired CMC physicians, her father an orthopedic hand surgeon and her mother the head of anesthesiology. Dr. Teal is newly married to her college sweetheart, a Myrtle Beach local. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her cat Cotton, baking, and do-it-yourself projects.
Alexis Gregorio-Snyder, MD
Dr. Gregorio-Snyder graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Alderson-Broaddus University located in Philippi, West Virginia. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine.
Dr. Gregorio-Snyder grew up in South Jersey but has since relocated to Myrtle Beach with the rest of her family. She recently married her husband who she met while in college. In her spare time, she loves going to the beach, hanging out with her bunny Oliver, and spending time with her family and husband.
Faryal Jafar, MD
Dr. Jafar grew up in Chicago and later moved to Houston for her undergrad. In pursuit of her medical degree she attended The Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences. Upon graduation, she volunteered and assisted in providing medical care for a non-profit organization in Pakistan. As a physician, Dr. Jafar is driven to live a meaningful and purposeful life of service dedicated to the members of her community.
Her hobbies intertwine with her love of sports and living an active life. Dr. Jafar is an avid runner and enjoys long distance running. She loves photography and traveling and lists Iceland and Greece as her favorite destinations she’s visited and photographed. She enjoys being creative through interior design and party planning. Dr. Jafar recently moved to Myrtle Beach.
Bogdan Luchkevich, DO
Dr. Luchkevich completed his bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and minor in Russian Literature at North Carolina State University. During the time he was studying to apply to medical school he volunteered at local hospitals and retirement homes. Through his travels experiencing a variety of cultures, including his own birth country of Ukraine, he has become a strong proponent of preventative healthcare. Bogdan encourages his patients to lead balanced lifestyles because he believes there is a fundamental difference between “living” and “thriving”.
Dr. Luchkevich has family overseas which he tries to visit as often as he can. In his spare time, he enjoys board games, reading sci-fi/fantasy novels, watching Twitch and Netflix, and, when the muse strikes, arts and crafts. For fresh air, he likes to play tennis, explore the nearby parks, and is a big fan of trying any activity at least once.
Tawsif Nadir, DO
Dr. Nadir received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He went to medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is the elected Chief resident for the 2020-2021 year.
He spent majority of his life in Atlanta, GA before moving to Myrtle Beach for residency. He was influenced to go into medicine ever since he was a kid in elementary school. His grandfather was the only radiologist back in a small rural town where his parents grew up in. He likes reverse engineering so when something breaks apart, he enjoys fixing it and building it back together. He is a huge supporter of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves and Atlanta United. He is a car enthusiast and likes stock market/trading during his free time.
Hope Perkins, DO
Dr. Perkins earned her medical degree from Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan, AL, and concurrently earned her Master’s of Public Health from Samford University. She chose to pursue osteopathic medicine because the holistic, person-centered philosophy resonated with her desire to provide high-quality, comprehensive, whole-person care to her patients.
Dr. Perkins comes to us from Ellisville, MS. After high school, she left for the big city of Nashville, TN, to attend Vanderbilt University. There, she received her bachelor’s degree in Human and Organizational Development, was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega, and became immersed in the Nashville community. While there, she found her passions for people, volunteering, experiencing different cultures, live music, and SEC sports (Anchor Down!). She also enjoys cooking, fishing, checking out local restaurants and breweries, and spending time with her Siberian Husky, Nash.
Desmond Ponder, MD
Dr. Desmond Ponder completed his undergraduate education at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He later earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine located in Bridgetown, Barbados.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Ponder worked as an Emergency Department Technician and Patient Access Representative for 5 years at two Metro Atlanta hospitals.
Dr. Ponder is originally from rural Georgia and is devoted to serving rural/suburban populations. In his personal time, he and his wife, Jamia, enjoy spending time with their 3 children. Dr. Ponder also coached softball and baseball.
Anam Sabzwari, MD
Dr. Sabzwari graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University. He earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Medicine and Dentistry and earned a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Davenport University. He graduated with his Doctor of Medicine from Avalon University School of Medicine.
He grew up in the northeast, mostly in New Jersey. His mother is an OB/GYN and his father is a physician working in healthcare management. He is a diehard New York Jets football fan. He enjoys hiking, fishing, meditation, and cooking.
Jae Hyun Shim, MD
Dr. Shim completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and extended his study in Neuroscience as a post-baccalaureate at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine.
He grew up in Northern New Jersey just outside of New York City, where he worked as an EMT and a rescue squad member in the community. He’s been involved in medical mission trips in the United States and abroad, including one in the Amazon. Dr. Shim enjoys working on cars and traveling and is a diehard fan of University of Michigan football.
Jasmine Sidhu, MD
Dr. Sidhu graduated with a degree in Basic Sciences from Manipal University for her undergraduate degree. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Avalon School of Medicine.
She was born in Vancouver, BC and moved to the United States when she was a child. Her family moved around a lot, living in Detroit, Portland, and Seattle. She believes that is where her love of travel comes from. She enjoys hiking and running and spending time with her family, especially her two younger sisters.
William Young, MD
Dr. Young graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Financial Management. He later took further courses to prepare him for medical school at the College of Charleston. He received his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University in Grenada.
Dr. Young was born in Annapolis, MD but has been living in the Charleston area since he was five years old. He loves spending time with friends and family and enjoys the coastal lifestyle. He spends a lot of time on the water fishing or boating, is a fan of Clemson football, and has an interest in history.
