With an annual patient volume of nearly 55,000 visits, Conway Medical Center’s Emergency Department is a full service 42 bed Emergency Department that is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our ER in Conway, SC is staffed with Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and all Emergency Department Registered Nursing staff have advanced certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Trauma Nursing Core Course.

For minor medical needs, CMC’s Emergency Department has a Minor Treatment Area that is staffed with a Physician’s Assistant and a Registered Nurse. The Minor Treatment Area is operational from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm seven days a week.

The Emergency Department is equipped with a state-of-the-art computerized patient tracking, order entry and documentation system, allowing quicker access to patients’ medical records and test results. CMC’s Emergency Department recently joined the Pediatric Critical Care Telemedicine Program in conjunction with the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). This program allows the Emergency Department Physician at CMC to have a real time consult with a Pediatric Critical Care Specialist at MUSC. Via a state-of-the-art, high definition computer, a physician at MUSC can do a full comprehensive exam of the patient and give immediate recommendations for treatment to the Emergency Department Physician at Conway Medical Center.
