Imaging Services

Imaging Services

You can feel comfortable knowing that Conway Medical Center Diagnostic Imaging Services, more commonly known as Radiology, possesses the staff, equipment and software technology to rival imaging in larger hospitals across the country.

The imaging department at CMC is a modern, progressive department staffed by qualified professionals including nationally registered and state certified technologists, board-certified radiologists, and compassionate, caring support staff.

Our Picture Archiving and Communication System, or PACS, allows your healthcare provider access to your diagnostic images within seconds of your exam – whether in the Conway community or as far away as Charleston. This digital capture and storage of your images provides the technologists, radiologists, and your healthcare provider the ability to manipulate each image, promoting clarity of detail not possible with film systems.

CMC is an accredited facility in Mammography, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine by the American College of Radiology (ARC).

Between the facilities on the main campus and those at the Outpatient Diagnostic Center, CMC’s imaging capabilities include:

  • Diagnostic Radiography (x-ray)
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI – including breast MRI)
  • Ultrasound (including diagnostic testing for peripheral vascular disease or PVD)
  • Angiography and Interventional Radiology
  • Nuclear Medicine including SPECT/CT
  • Digital Mammography including 3D Mammography
  • Stereotactic Breast Biopsy
  • Radioactive Seed Localization for Breast Masses
  • Bone Density Testing
  • Positron Emission Tomography/CT (PET/CT)

Walk-ins are welcome at either location, between the main campus and the Outpatient Diagnostic Center. Appointment times easily fit into your schedule and for those exams requiring appointments, scheduling is easy, call 843-234-5474.

As you can tell, CMC takes its imaging services seriously. That’s why you’ll always get a clearer picture at Conway Medical Center.
